9:00-10:00 – IDAVOAD Exercise Hot Wash: Participate in an after-action review of the IDAVOAD exercise held in August.

10:15-11:00 – Public Safety Power Shutoff: Hear from Idaho Power about preemptive public safety power shutoff guidelines and procedures being planned for future wildfires in Idaho and what IDAVOAD members and partners should expect with long-term power shutoffs.
11:00-12:00p – Family Reunification Panel Discussion: From active shooter events to earthquakes, learn from community partners about the unique and critical role VOAD members play in family reunification.
12:00-1:30 – Lunch & Keynote: Lessons Learned from Oregon on Wildfires and VOAD Engagement.
Lunch: Beef served with flour tortillas, a mix of beans and rice, shredded lettuce, cheese, pico do gallo, and sour cream; chips and salsa.
1:30-2:30 – Keeping Our Lamps Lit and Ready for Action – Faith-Based Organizations as Part of the Whole Community Response to Disaster: Learn how faith-based community groups are the foundation to disaster response and recovery. Panelists include representatives from Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Latter-Day Saints Charities, Mennonite Disaster Services, and Methodist Disaster Response.
2:30-3:00 – It’s Your Call. Make It A Priority: Learn about free, critical emergency telecommunication services, how you can subscribe to the services, how they work, and how and when to use them when you need them most.
